RING ANNOUNCERS - MC | ||||
Ring Announcer Jim Virden "The Fighter's Voice" is best known for his signature Red Jacket and his dramatically delivered catch phrase: "Let's Shake Up The World!" Jim began his announcing career in 1998 with the World Karate Organization, a Sport Karate fighting promotion in Southern California. Jim's announcing experience includes: MMA, Draka, San Shou, Pankration, Boxing and Muay Thai events. In the early 1980s, Jim was trained and managed by Ajarn Surachai Sirisute, and fought as an amateur Middleweight. In 1981, Jim fought for a Super Middleweight World Title Belt, taking on a much larger and more experienced, Francisco Navarro Barajas of Tijuana, losing by KO. Jim retired from the ring in 1985 at age 30 and in 2011 was honored with induction into the IKBA H.O.F. as a "Pioneer Kickboxer". As a former fighter, Jim believes every fighter deserves the very best introduction possible! Jim says, "The Promoter, Trainers, Fighters - They all work so hard! How can I not put my all into giving them the introduction they deserve, and their fans expect?"
